88th Birthday Cupcake Tower

 

 We created this cupcake tower for a 88th birthday celebration. The topper cake was done in a diamond pattern with an 88 on top. We did a mix of mini and standard sized cupcakes - the standard sized ones were topped with an 88 and the minis were done with a simple star swirl and a touch of sugar for sparkle. Everything was done in green, white and silver. Our customer provided us with the beautiful photo above.

   

 We've made a lot of cakes for this family including this grandpa's 85th birthday cake inspired by the dessert and his work with jewelry where we recreated with fondant a bola tie that he had made.
