Local First Arizona - Shop Local!

Have you heard about Local First Arizona? Local First Arizona is a nonprofit organization working to strenghten our local community by supporting and promoting local businesses. Simply Sweets Cake Studio is proud to be a member of this organization. To become a member, businesses must be locally based in Arizona. Please take a few minutes to read why it is important to shop local.

I love this statement on their website: "Now is the time to join forces to protect, foster, and strengthen the local businesses in our neighborhoods that give us a sense of place, ensure our diverse culture, and provide us with strong unique communities we are proud to call home."

Please support your local community and buy local this holiday season! Often your local businesses are not at the large shopping malls (which are filled with national chains and franchises) but located in the smaller shopping centers around town. Is there a small shopping center that you pass by every day? Take some time to stop in and check out the local shops. Often you'll get to meet the owners of these local businesses and receive personalized service that isn't available at the large big box retailers.
