Wedding Anniversary Cupcakes
My husband and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary a week ago. My husband prefers cupcakes over cake so I created this themed cupcake gift box for him. 3 of the cupcakes are topped with monograms for our first and last initials. One cupcake is topped with a hibiscus flower because we were married in Kauai, one topped with a cactus for where we currently live and a heart.
Pink and Orange Polka Dot 10th Birthday Cake
Pink and orange - love that color combination! We created this cake for Peyton's 10th birthday celebration. We've made many cakes for this family and they almost always have polka dots on them. We added fun details to this cake including the bow on top and the frill cake border. Space was left on the top of the cake for a Hello Kitty candle (which we sell at the cake studio - its our best selling candle!).

Purse Cake for a Bowling Birthday Party
We created this cake for Tia's 7th birthday. She loves everything girly including purses, flowers and butterflies. The party was held at Dave Buster's bowling alley so we used the party invitation as inspiration and added the bowling pins and ball to the purse to combine the themes. A bow, butterflies and lots of flowers added more girley touches.

The cake is done in a scroll design to coordinate with the party invitation. The cupcakes are topped with bows. We also had the pleasure of creating the pink and brown cupcake tower for Raya's baby shower:
Pink Princess Castle Brithday Cake
Our princess castle cake has been one of our most popular designs over the years. More recently our customers have been ordering princess tiara cakes instead of the castle cake but in the past month we've had an increased request for the castle cakes. Usually they want the exact same castle that we've done - white with pink and purple flowers. This cake was for a birthday girl who LOVES pink so everything had to be pink - even the filling was strawberry mousse so it would be pink. They also ordered pink chocolate suckers as party favors and pink tiara cupcakes for her school birthday celebration.
We also had another Princess Castle order for a celebration held at Castles and Coasters. This one was the traditional white with pink and purple

Elephant Cupcake Tower for a Baby Shower
Inspired by our monkey cupcake towers and jungle themed baby shower cakes, we created this 3 tier cupcake tower topped with an elephant topper cake. For a baby boy this cake was designed in blue, green and brown.
Halloween Birthday Cupcake Tower
We created this birthday cupcake tower for a huge Halloween themed birthday party. This one was for an older boy so we focused more on the scary Halloween themes including eyeballs, goblins, monsters, bats, skulls, spiders, gravestones and ghosts. The topper jumbo cupcake is topped with several bats and a skull and an eyeball at the base of the cupcake. We used our 5 tier silver stand to display the 75 cupcakes.
Halloween 1st Birthday Cupcake Tower
We created this cupcake tower for a first birthday celebration. The topper is a jumbo cupcake topped with a pumpkin with a 1. We also created 24 cupcakes iced in orange, green and purple topped with bats, skulls, ghosts, witches hats, jack-o-lanterns and gravestones.
We also did the same designs for some cupcake gift boxes that were ordered as business gifts:

Orange, Green and Brown Jungle Themed Cupcake Tower for a Baby Shower
I love the orange, green and brown color combination we did for this jungle themed baby shower - it gives it a more modern look. The topper cake has an elephant, giraffe, zebra and is topped with a monkey. Our customer had their own cupcake tower stand which accomodated an 8 inch topper cake (the stands that we rent work best with a 6 inch topper cake). Cupcakes are decorated in our sassy circle design iced with a mixture of American buttercream and chocolate buttercream.

Cake Hole Project Launch Party at La Bocca, Tempe
[photos provided by Danielle Stephens, The Darkley Agency]
Last week we were invited to the Cake Hole Projects Launch Party. The event was held at La Bocca Urban Pizzeria and Wine Bar and was attended by people in the party planning industry (thats us!) and local bloggers. Because we specialize in cupcake towers I was really excited to check out Cake Hole Project's modern approach to cupcake displays. The food was delicious and I enjoyed chatting with industry folks including God's Garden Treasures (we worked together in the past at the Impeccable Eye Grand Opening) and bloggers including Beth and Brandi, the bloggers behind Local Lily a great blog which features locally owned businesses.
We are excited to work with Cake Hole Project to show you some modern displays with Simply Sweets cupcakes...stay tuned

Zebra and Cheetah print cake and cupakes for a Tutu party
Purple zebra cake with purple zebra print and pink cheetah print cupcakes for a 6th birthday celebration (the purple in the photo is a little off because as a nonprofessional photographer, purple icing is difficult to photograph). We created this cake for the daughter of the owner of Daniela Jay Boutique, a children's and woman's clothing store in Glendale, AZ (this is another catch up post as her birthday party was held in the spring). Daniella Jay Boutique hosts tutu parties at the boutique and each party guest creates their own tutu to take home with them.

Have you visited the Basically Bows and More website? or checked out their shop in Scottsdale?
I found this adorable bow for Halloween:
Red and Black Cupcakes - Surprise Birthday Delivery
These cupcakes were ordered by a friend out of state for a 25th birthday - We did everything in red and black, the recipient's favorite colors. 4 cupcakes were used to spell his name, 1 for his age and the remaining cupcakes were topped with Happy Birthday circles. We delivered these gift cupcakes to a residence in Chandler. Wouldn't you love to be surprised with a cupcake delivery?
2 Tier Cake with a Pony Print and Stars - Lots of Toy Story Themed Birthday Parties
This cake was ordered for a girl's 5th Birthday Toy Story themed birthday party. Her favorite character is Jessie. Our customer purchased Toy Story figures which were placed on the cake. First tier is covered with stars and a fun font for the cake message. The top tier is done in a pony print to coordinate with Jessie's pants.
We also created two more of the Boy's Bedroom Scene that we did for for a 2nd birthday for more Toy Story Birthday Parties.
5th Birthday (customer sent to us by our customer) - this party was held at Dave and Buster's:
