ASU Graduation Cupcake Tower
This graduation cupcake tower was done for a ASU graduation party at the end of the year. The cupcakes were done in gold and cream glitter icing topped with butterflies - butterflies were selected because they have special meaning to the graduate. The tower was a mixture of minis and standard sized cupcakes and the topper was a 3D graduation hat and everything was displayed on our 4 tier stand. We've done lots of cakes for this family so that always makes it extra special (and the graduate's sister is a great friend of mine). Congratulations Megan!

10 Cake and Cupcake Trends for 2011: Part 5 - Say It With Cupcakes
One of our popular designs for cupcakes is where one letter is placed on each cupcake and used to spell a message. These are either ordered for a party where they will be arranged on the table so the message can be easily read or in a gift box as a surprise gift delivery (very popular for birthdays and anniversaries especially for men or as a gift from out of town family members). The remaining cupcakes are often decorated to match the party theme (such as the 80's themed party with rubix cube, boom box and pac man) or something related to the person (the anniversary cupcakes with the cactus and lobsters where to done to represent where the couple lives as they split time between Phoenix and Maine).

Baseball Cupcakes for a Little League team party
Four dozen of our baseball cupcakes were ordered for an end of the season Little League team party. The team's colors are red and black so we iced the cupcakes in red and white and used black cupcake liners - cupcake liners are a great way to add a color while avoiding dark icing which can be messy. Cupcakes are always a great choice for a kids party - so easy to serve!

We've compiled a list of 10 trends for cake & cupcake designs that increased during 2010 and we think you'll see even more of in 2011!
Fourth on the list is Aqua, Turquoise and Tiffany Blue. Brighter, fun shades of blue! Always popular for bridal showers (Tiffany Box theme) but has become popular for birthdays, holidays and baby showers. Also popular for Little Mermaid (Ariel) and Tinkerbell themed parties. Often paired with purple, hot pink or red (especially for the winter holidays).

Third on the list is cupcake towers. Cupcake towers continue to grow in popularity for all occasions including weddings, anniversaries, showers and birthdays. They create a great display and are so easy to serve. We usually top our towers with a 6 inch round cake or a jumbo cupcake. Often the cake is sent home with the person the party is honoring to enjoy later. When a jumbo cupcake tops the tower, it is often the special cake for the birthday girl or boy. Our most popular cupcake tower designs include the monkey baby shower, lady bug, princess tiara and carnival.
We rent 3, 4, 5 and 6 tier towers in addition to an assortment of cupcake stands (those that hold cupcakes but no topper cake). Some of our customers have made their own or have sets of cake plates that can be stacked.
