Train 3rd birthday cake for a Thomas the Tank Engine fan

This cake was created for a Thomas themed 3rd birthday celebration that was held at Peter Piper Pizza in Peoria. This cake design was inspired by my son's second birthday train themed cake which was a 2 tier cake. The design was adapted to a 1 tier version. The birthday boy is a friend of my son's and we got to help him to celebrate his special day. Cake was chocolate sourcream with 2 layers of raspberry mousse and 1 layer of white chocolate mousse filling. Icing is American buttercream and decorations are fondant and buttercream. Train was supplied by the mom.

This cake is super cute! My nephew loves Thomas the train. Unfortunately he has many allergies that keep him away from baked goods. I am working on a cookie just for him.
