Personalized Wine Bottle in a Wooden Crate Birthday Cake

I created this cake for a special friend's birthday celebration where the theme of the party was wine tasting. We decided a wine bottle cake would be the perfect centerpiece for the party.

I customized the label using a family photo and some photoshop tricks and then printed it as an edible image. The wine bottle is carved cake covered in fondant and airbrushed to give it the dark coloring. The crate is a huge cake (half white sourcream and half double chocolate sourcream with chocolate mousse filling) covered in fondant.

Besides being a great friend, the birthday girl is also a great customer - her family always has creative themes for their parties which gives me the chance to create new cake designs.
