Surprise 60th Birthday Celebration
We created this red and black sassy circles version of our popular package cake for a surprise 60th birthday party. This cake is very popular and works great for a man's birthday and has also been used for baby showers and baptisms. This cake is iced with buttercream with fondant accents - you can even eat the bow and tag!

A Pink and Green CupKate Celebration
The party favors were white chocolate dipped marshmallow pops sprinkled with pink nonpareils. The custom tags were made to coordinate with the adorable party invitations that were handmade by a local crafter.
This is another first birthday I've done this year where I also did the their mom's baby shower cake, the popular pink and green 2 tier baby shower cake - so exciting, can't wait for the second birthday!

Sage green and brown polka dot umbrella baby shower cake
I love this cake - the colors and the design. This cake was ordered by a customer who I had created her baby shower cake for her (the very popular pink and black ladybug baby shower cake) and when it was her turn to host a shower she contacted us to create a design to coordinate with the partyware and invitation for a couples shower. The cake is white sourcream cake with 2 layers of chocolate mousse filling and a center layer of raspberry mousse and iced with chocolate buttercream.
The cake we created for the host for her shower last July:
3rd Birthday Construction Themed Cupcake Cake
I created this cupcake cake for our family party for my son's 3rd birthday. I've already posted his dinosaur cupcakes that I sent to school and I still have to post his big birthday party that was dinosaur themed. Because he has a December birthday we had a small party on his birthday with family and then a larger party with his friends in mid January. He's a typical boy and loves construction trucks and has learned the names of all the different types. The road is made from fondant and the dirt is Oreo cookie crumbs. I purchased the vehicles from Toys R Us.

1st Birthday Sesame Street Themed Celebration
This cake and smash cake was design to coordinate with a line of 1st Birthday Sesame Street themed partyware. This cake was inspired by my son's 1st birthday cake which I have repeated in different sizes and color schemes.
This was a special cake to do because I also did the cake for Matt's baby shower

Sleeping Bear themed baby shower cake
We love to hear from our customers and received 2 great emails right after the shower from our customers who ordered this cake:
I know my mom sent you an email regarding the cake. I too want to thank you for working with us and really making it a big hit! We did pass out cards and people thought it was delicious! I hate to say this, but I was really nervous that people wouldn't stick around for the cake and/or not want a piece thinking it would be too much. But some people came back for seconds. We of course, had a piece and it was great! Everyone couldn't say enough about the taste and the presentation of it. I'm sure you get a ton of compliments on your work, but we really wanted to express our thanks and the feedback. S.
the second email
Hello this is D., S.'s mom. You delivered the absolutely most cutest bear cake to us Friday. We delivered it with no problems up to Chino Valley and it was in good shape. I'd like to thank you for making it and going way above what we expected. I know you put a lot of work into it, to make it to our color specs etc. Its obvious you do good work by your website, but to see it in person, was so much more unbelieveable...Everyone was very impressed with it, and the taste was wonderful. We had plenty for everyone, including all the men we anticipated taking home pieces. your suggestions on how to cut it and to take the little bear off really helped. it worked out perfect. he came off all in 1 piece, including the Brady ribbon in front to save for the parents. thank you again for everything, it was delicious. Good luck with your future baking!! D.
Dinosaur 3rd Birthday Cake
This is the dinosaur volcano cake I created for my son's 3rd birthday party. This year he got 3 Simply Sweets creations - dinosaur cupcakes for school, construction themed cupcake cake for our family party and this cake for his big party.
The themed of the party was dinosaurs - you can read more about all the details on the Desert Parties Blog - Real Parties: 3rd Birthday Dinosaur Themed Celebration. I chose a volcano because my son loves volcanos first learning about them from Little Einstein's Hawaii episode and he thinks the mountains near our house are volcanos. The volcano part of the cake is double chocolate sourcream cake with chocolate buttercream. The base of the cake is white sourcream with strawberry mousse filling.
I also made chocolate dinosaur suckers for favors.
Here's his 1st and 2nd birthday cakes - both have become very popular with our Simply Sweets customes and we have repeated the designs multiple times!
