Winner of the Martha Stewart Cutest Cupcake Contest

I recently submitted one of my favorite cupcake designs to Martha Stewart's Cutest Cupcake Contest and last Thursday it was announced my design was a grand prize winner!!!

Click here to see the clip of Martha Stewart announcing the winners. The golf ball is white chocolate in a bed of buttercream grass. Its a prefect treat for a golf outing or as a gift for a golf fanatic. To celebrate this exciting news, we will be giving away 1 dozen cupcakes to 5 lucky winners. To enter, leave a comment on this blog post. Make sure to leave a way to contact you (email address or blog link). Also, we are looking for suggestions for a name for this cupcake design - if you have a creative idea, please leave your suggestion in your comment.

Final day to enter is April 30th, 2008 and winners will be randomly selected on May 1st. Prize includes 1 dozen cupcakes in the winning design with a choice of flavors (white sour cream, chocolate sour cream or double chocolate sour cream) and delivery up to $15. *we do not ship cupcakes. Delivery is only available to the Phoenix-metro area. Delivery charge above $15 is the responsibility of the winner.

Super cute cupcake! Congratulations on being picked by Martha. The only name that I could come up with is "Fore You" Cupcakes. Have a great day!

Congratulations Dana! This is a great cupcake for Father's Day or for an avid golfer. My name idea is: In the Rough. However, I like Erin's idea, "Fore you".

Martha showed your cupcake first so that must mean she liked it the best :) You should call it "Martha's Favorite."

I love the cupcake, it is too cute, almost too cute to eat! Congratulations on being picked by Martha.

You could call it the "Tiger Woods CupCake", maybe he would endorse it! I like "Hole in One" or "Fore You" too. Or maybe "Golfer's Delight"?

Cute cupcake and should be a big hit in AZ! Congratulations!!!

I found this term on a golf site - "Knee knocker" - (aka: "tester") a short putt that is, for whatever reason, challenging. For most average golfers a good example of a knee knocker is a 6 foot putt. Example: "His chip shot was well played, but still left him with a knee knocker for par.

Another thought would be to name it after one of the golf courses in town.

Wow, I'm so happy for you...WHAT an accomplishment and how exciting for you! I love the "In the Rough" idea. I came up with the following ideas...
"Putter's Dream Cakes"
"Hole in One...Bite"
"It's in the Hole!"
"Fore!"
and "Clubhouse Cakes" or "Country Club Cakes"

I can't wait to see more of your artistry...these are amazing! Congrats Again!

Hi Dana:

This is Lori from the Mommy Networking. I think you should be shouting this news from the rooftops. What an incredible honor! I watched the video and it appears that you had some good competitors just looking at the other submissions. I don't have a name for it.. not creative in that way, but GREAT JOB!

Hi Dana,

I thought a couple of good names for your great cupcake would be as such:
"ParTee(Party) Cake"
or
Sweet Double Bogey

My name is Lori and I can be reached at 480-221-8619

that is the cutest cupcake ever! I am trying to have cupcakes at my wedding instead of the traditional cake. If I showed my golf-loving finace that I am sure that he would be all for it! SUPER SUPER CUTE - you have great talent! I would have to agree with Nancy and go for the name...Birdie Cakes! I wish you were located in Indiana!

VERY VERY Proud of you! I wish I could think of a 'creative name.'Maybe 'Brown's Birdie'....

I think calling the cupcake "The Mulligan" would be great. I'm sure once you eat it, you'll want a 'do-over' to have another!!!

This cup is one that my daughter has picked for her wedding reception for her new husband. He is a golfing nut! It's Golf, Golf, and more Golf! It is a really cute cupcake and I think it should be called "The Golfer's Dream" cupcake. I am excited to see how it turns out at the reception she will be having July 17th, 2010! He doesn't know about it yet. Good Luck to everyone.
