5th Birthday Mad Science Themed Birthday Cake

 

 We created this 5th birthday science themed cake for a Mad Science party. The party colors were orange, lime green and purple. We made an Erlenmeyer Flask topper with green liquid for the green goo the party guests were going to created. On the sides we added lightening bolts and atoms. We also made mini cupcakes topped with green, purple and orange sugar beads.

 

Groundhog Day 1st Birthday { Children's Birthdays }

This was a fun cake for a boy's first birthday who was born on Groundhog Day. This is a perfect example of what makes creating custom cakes so fun and special - you won't find this design in a catalog or ready made. We work with our customers to create a special cake personalized for the guest of honor. (Sorry for the photo quality - this was taken with a camera phone but didn't want to miss documenting this cake)

Bumble Bee Themed 1st Birthday Cake { Children's Birthdays)

 

 We created this two tier 1st birthday cake for a bumble bee themed first birthday party. Our customer wanted simple modern design in black and yellow with a few fondant bumble bees.

50th Birthday 2 Tier Zebra Print with Silver and Green Accents { adult birthday }

 

 Our popular zebra cakes this one more elegantly designed for a 50th birthday celebration. Both tiers were done in black/white zebra print. The cake is topped with green and silver fondant bow, bordered with a fondant bead border and a monogram on the front for the birthday girl.

Hot Pink Polka Dots and Black and White Zebra Print for a Minnie Mouse Themed Baby Shower

This cake was design to coordinate with the invitation and party decorations that were bright pink with polka dots and black and white zebra print. The theme was Minnie Mouse so we added a huge pink bow on top. Like all of our cakes, this cake is iced with buttercream (yes buttercream!) and decorated with fondant accents.

Ninja Birthday Cake for a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Themed 5th Birthday Celebration

 

 We created this cake for Tennessee's 5th birthday - he wanted a ninja cake for his Teen Mutant Ninja Turtle themed celebration. Cake is iced with green tinted buttercream and we added a fondant ninja sword and mask.

We've been created Tennessee's birthday cakes for several years now including his 3rd birthday cake for a Star Wars party

7th Birthday Castle and Archery Themed Cake for a Brave themed Celebration

Our customer requested a cake for a Brave the movie celebration. The cake was designed as a castle with the bulls eye target on the side with a bow and arrow on top. Our customer added Brave figures to the cake.  This was part of a joint 7th birthday celebration for twins - click here for the Ice Age themed cake.

Cave Man Themed 7th Birthday Cake for an Ice Age Movie Fan

Our customer's son requested an Ice Age the movie cake with a cave man theme including a cave, bones and weapons and a mammoth. Our customer added some Ice Age figure to the cake. This cake was part of a joint birthday celebration with his twin - he wanted Ice Age and she wanted Brave (see this post). We iced this 8 inch cake with blue buttercream and added a fondant cave to the side of the cake. On the top we added a fondant modeled mammoth, fire and a few weapons and bones.

Its Eric Carle's birthday and I've seen so many great posts about parties and sweets inspired by his books that I wanted to share a few that we've done. His books have inspired so many great baby shower and first birthday themed celebrations.

4th Birthday Pirate Themed Cake { children's birthday cakes }

 

 Pirate themed cakes are always one of my favorite kid's cake designs to create. I love the colors on this one which were picked to coordinated with the party invitation. Cake is iced with buttercream with fondant stripes and pirate skull and cross bones.

12th Birthday Tie Dye Cake

 

We created this tie dye cake for a 12th birthday celebration - lots of girly colors and lime green peace signs. The cake is iced with buttercream and airbrushed for the tie dye pattern. The tie dye pattern always makes a fun cake or cupcake design and can be customized by colors and designs such as peace signs, hearts or flowers.

 

10th Birthday Black and Pink Paris Themed Cake {children's birthday cake}

 

 We created this Paris themed cake for Jillian's 10th birthday. The cake was designed to coordinate with the birthday girl's dress that was light pink and black. The bottom tier is a light pink piped buttercream ruffle design and the top tier is decorated with polka dots. We added a silver Eiffel Tower along with some flowers, bows and pearls. 

 We've created several cakes for this family and they loves that we specialize in buttercream iced cakes with fondant accents (instead of an all fondant cake). This cake is mostly buttercream with only a few fondant accents. One of my favorite cakes that I've done is Jillian's 6th birthday flip flop cake - the colors were just so bright and fun.

Pink and Gray Chevron Print Baby Shower Cupcakes

 

 Chevron is one of the hottest patterns right now for everything including home decor, clothing and parties. These cupcakes were made for a chevron themed baby shower based on the nursery. A few of the cupcakes were imprinted with "its a girl"

 

1956 Chevy Pickup Birthday Cake

We created this cake for a small birthday celebration - the truck was picked because he had recently purchased a 1956 Chevy pickup. This cake was a huge hit and our customer left the sweetest message on our voice mail - we love our customers!

Pink Baby Shower Cake

 

We created this cake for a baby shower. Both tiers are iced light pink buttercream with fondant pink and white stripes on the bottom and polka dots on top. We added 3D fondant baby shoes to the top and pink ribbon roses.  Our customer also ordered sassy circle cupcakes - perfect for the kids that were attending the shower.

4th Birthday Rocket Ship Cupcake Cake

 

 The birthday boy requested a rocket ship so we created this cupcake cake for his birthday celebration. It was a small family celebration so a cupcake cake worked best for the design while serving a smaller number of guests.

Blue and Yellow Nautical Themed Baby Shower Cupcakes

 

 We created these cupcakes for a nautical themed baby shower - the cupcakes are topped with sailboats, anchors and "its a boy" fondant toppers.

Little Prince 1st Birthday Cupcake Tower

 

 A cupcake tower for a Little Prince themed 1st birthday celebration. The 6 inch topper is topped with a fondant crown. The coordinating cupcakes were also topped with little crowns in green and blue to coordinate with the birthday boy's outfit. Out customer also rented our white cupcake tower stand for display.
