These baby shower favors were made for a Sprinkle (a small shower) to celebrate baby Ethan - the orginal shower date had to be postponed because Baby Ethan made an early arrival. What's in the basket? an assortment of white and dark chocolate dipped goodies decorated with blue accents - pretzels, rice krispie treats, oreos, graham crackers and fortune cookies.

I made this little gift basket filled with goodies for my hair stylist, Kendyl, at Salon Adiva. The basket was filled with chocolate covered pretzels with pink sprinkles, chocolate covered fortune cookies with pink nonpareils, chocolate covered graham crackers with pink shoes, and solid chocolate purses, makeup and shoes.

two birthdays in one
How to combine two birthdays into one cake? This cake was ordered to celebrate the birthdays of a mom and her son who were visiting some friends. They wanted a small number of servings with a cake in a train theme to celebrate Matthew's 5th birthday but also wanted to incorporate Maria's (mom) birthday. This cupcake cake was made using 17 cupcakes - 10 for the train cake and 6 for the flower. This cake also shows how you can make a cake to go along with a licensed character theme without violating any copyright laws - the cake was designed for a train theme and the customer purchased a train to be placed on top of the cake (and also as a present for the birthday boy). Cupcakes were half white sour cream cake and half double chocolate sourcream, iced with American buttercream. The "5" was made from white chocolate colored red.
Welcome Emily Nicole
This cake was created for a baby shower - the clothesline theme is a popular one and was inspired by two great decorators Sharon Z and Rebecca S. Orginally I did it as a fondant covered round cake, but this theme also works great as a sheet cake.
The cake was double chocolate sourcream, filled with strawberry mousse, and iced with American buttercream. The baby items are made out of fondant - some are free hand and others were made using patchwork cutters. The welcome Emily Nicole drape was made using an edible image and attached to fondant.

a teacher marries a pilot
These wedding favors, 125 of them, were made for a wedding this weekend in Del Mar between a bride who is a teacher and the groom who is a pilot. Tied together with a single ribbon and tag, the apple is dark chocolate and the plane is white chocolate.

Bachelorette weekend
This cake was delivered to the Fairmont Scottsdale Princess Resort to a bridal party who came from out of town for a girl's weekend to celebrate bride Amy's upcoming nuptials. This cake was ordered for their lingerie shower. The cake is lemon poppy seed, lemon mousse filling and American buttercream icing.
Princess Erica
This cake was made for a little girl who is celebrating her first birthday. Its a smaller version of the Princess Olivia Princess Castle Cake that I made a few months ago. The Princess Olivia cake was 48 servings whereas this cake was 22 servings (its a 9 inch round cake). The cake was white sour cream with strawberry mousse filling - our most popular flavor combination! The mom also ordered cupcakes to go along with the castle - these were iced with pink icing and each had a pink or purple flower on top.

Welcome Baby James
This 3D baby block cake was made for a surprise baby shower for one of my husband's coworkers. Cake is white sour cream with strawberry mousse filling. The letters around the block spell BABY and ABC depending on how you're looking at the block and is decorated in blue, green, brown and purple. The cake is a 9 x 9 x 9 cube (two 2 layer cakes each torted with 3 layers of filling) and serves approximately 50 people - I hope the CCD folks are hungry! This cake also works great for a Baby's First Birthday and can be decorated in pinks for a girl.

I'm posting a few treats I made for the 4th. The baskets make great hostess gifts or housewarming gifts. My husband's coworkers and the folks at the Arizona Small Business Association got to enjoy these treats.
